Xiaomi has ended its year with a bang! As promised, the company started the roll-out of Android 8.0 Oreo for its first Android One phone, the Mi A1. In December, Xiaomi started looking for beta testers to test the update, and now, while no one expected anything would come in 2017, Xiaomi surprised all of us by starting to push the update on December 31st.
The big news came via the company’s official Twitter account:
We’re ending the year with an O! #MiA1 users, stay tuned as we’re rolling out your long-awaited update in batches but make sure you’re already on the latest December update (7.12.19) to receive Android O! pic.twitter.com/GhRtDnyJn4

Oreo rolling out to the Mi A1 now!
As per the tweet, you need to be on the latest December update (7.12.19) in order to receive the Oreo update. Also, the update will be released in batches, so it might be a while till you see it on your device. If it’s not available now, feel free to mash that F5 button until it is.
Once you get the update, be sure to stop back and let us know how it’s treating you!
