UPDATE: This post was written prior to our site launch on 8/1/17. They’re all available now, as of that same date!

Yes, we are an Android blog, through and through. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have interests outside of Android. Like console gaming, for instance – and PlayStation 4, more specifically. Now, we don’t condone smartphone wars, and we feel the same way about gaming. We love PC, Xbox and PS4 all the same, but we prefer the latter. As such, expect to see posts about that realm here, as well. That said, we’ll also let you know about the PS Plus free game lineup each month. And here is said lineup for August 2017.

Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3

First up on PlayStation 4, we’ve got Just Cause 3. JC3 is a superb third-person action adventure game from Avalanche Studios, in which players assume the role of Rico Rodriguez. Rico’s a badass mercenary looking to liberate his people from the grasp of an evil dictator, namedĀ General Sebastiano Di Ravello. He has an arsenal of weapons and explosives at his disposal, and a bad attitude to go along with it.

Considering that Just Cause is available in a PlayStation bundle deal, it’s no shocker that it’s now free on PS Plus. But, don’t let the fact it’s free fool you. This is definitely a premium game and it’s a helluva lot of fun, so make sure to check it out while it won’t cost you anything.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry

Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry

Up next for PS4, we’ve got Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry. Assassin’s Creed is an enormously popular franchise, and Freedom Cry is the 6th installment from the series. It’s another third-person action adventure game, and it comes to us by way of Ubisoft Montreal.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry offers players a massive open world setting, chock-full of missions and side-quests to keep their attention. I personally haven’t played an Assassin’s Creed game since Part 2, but I’m definitely adding it to my Instant Games collection to give it a spin at some point.
