Snapseed has long been my go-to app for mobile photo editing. Don’t let its mobile status fool you, though. It’s a powerful tool that rivals many full-blown editing programs available on desktop computers, but it’s much simpler to use, even for those without technical know-how in the photo editing department.
In fact, I wrote a guide on how to use the app to quickly edit your “so-so” photos and turn them into gorgeous masterpieces. You should check it out if you haven’t already.
The latest update, Snapseed v2.18, is now available on Google Play. The new version brings along with it a revamped UI design. There are two familiar tabs at the bottom of the app – ‘tools’, and ‘export’. All of the usual features are now found in these two tabs.
There’s also a third tab on the bottom of the screen that represents an entirely new feature, called “Presets”. Presets let you add pre-designed filter-like edits to your photos. There are 11 of them in total.
If you already have Snapseed on your device, head over to the Play Store and grab the latest version. If you’re new to the app, you can download it with the link below. As always, I encourage you to stop back and share your best Snapseed edits in the comment thread. We love seeing the awesome photos our community members take!
