Huge congratulations are in order for Kevin Barry, our buddy Cliff Wade, and the entire Nova Launcher team. The smash-hit launcher app – arguably the most popular of its kind – reached a major milestone today by crossing 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store.

To put things into perspective, California has a population of 39.8 million, making it the most highly populated state in the country. So, theoretically the entire Golden State, plus another 10 million. That’s a helluva lot of downloads, especially for an app that’s not from Google.

It’s no surprise, the success Nova Launcher sees. It offers the latest and greatest features to users who don’t have the latest and greatest phones, and it gets updates all the time. Throw in its highly-responsive customer support and detailed FAQ section to help users get the most out of the app, and Nova has a perfect recipe for success.

Nova Launcher Joins 50 Million Club

Congrats Team Nova!

Now, I might sound partial – and that’s because I’m a Nova Launcher since the beginning. I’ve watched this app grow, from being a hidden gem in the development forums, all the way to the spot it’s in today. And here we are, 50 million downloads later.

And don’t forget, our Nova Launcher Prime giveaway is still going! There’s not much time left to enter, so make sure you do so if you haven’t already. I’m blown away by the fact that we have 1600 entries on that one. So awesome!

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past 6 years, here’s a download link for Nova Launcher. Alternatively, you can sign up to be a beta tester to gain early access to new features before they roll out to everyone.

Once again, congrats to Team Nova from us here at Android Unfiltered. Keep on putting out those awesome updates, and we’ll keep on sharing them with our friends and family!
