Well, it looks like justice has been served.
Yesterday, we reported on YouTube finally commenting on the Logan Paul Suicide Forest video fiasco. Today, it looks like we know what moves the company is taking to serve as punishment against the vlogger.
Google axes Paul’s projects as punishment
Tech website CNET reports Google is pulling Paul’s channel from an elite Google Preferred ads program accessible to top creators. It’s also canceling all projects that were lined up to feature the 22-year old YouTube
sensation moron. As of today, Paul’s “Originals” projects had been put on hold. The company also announced that LP wouldn’t be featured in the fourth season of the YouTube Red comedy series “Foursome.”
“In light of recent events, we have decided to remove Logan Paul’s channels from Google Preferred,” a YouTube spokeswoman said in a statement. “Additionally, we will not feature Logan in season four of ‘Foursome’ and his new Originals are on hold.”
Serves the little bastard right.
While it isn’t the permaban I was hoping for, it’s certainly nice to see YouTube hitting him where it will hurt most. Although, with 15 million subscribers, I’m sure this fool has already made more than you an I will in an average lifetime.
It’s still a somewhat hefty slap on the wrist, though, and it’s a good move on YouTube’s part, in my opinion. It just sucks that we’ll still be forced to see this idiot’s face in the future, I’m sure.
What do you think of Logan Paul’s punishment? Too harsh? Not harsh enough? Hit me in the comment thread with your thoughts.
