I wanted to take a moment to write a short introduction about myself, so our readers know whether or not I’m worthy of writing for Android Unfiltered.

Android enthusiast

I’ve been an Android enthusiast since owning my first Android powered device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I’d switched from being a BlackBerry user, and fell in love with the open nature of the new OS with a funny droid mascot. Since then, I’ve gone through various devices, including the Moto X 2013, Nexus 7, LG G4, Nexus 6P, and a Moto 360 smartwatch. Currently, I’m using a BlackBerry KEYone paired to a Pebble Time smartwatch.

In regards to writing, I’ve been a member of Android Coliseum for roughly a year. I thought I would try to start up my own Android reporting blog called Eh! For Android, where the focus was on Android content pertaining to Canadians. (Oh yeah, I was born and raised here in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.) Unfortunately, that website didn’t pan out, so I shut it down. For months after I just floated for a while on social media and my own WordPress blog which I used an outlet for my love of nerdy things.

Outside the Android realm

During the working hours of the weekday, I am a New Media Designer where I design and create websites, logos, pamphlets, brochures, photography, and videos at St. Boniface Hospital Research. It’s been a fantastic place to work, and I love that my efforts help support the research that occurs there.

After hours, I’m with my family including my wife, two daughters, two cats, and a dog. They all keep me busy, but I enjoy it! Believe it or not, I still find time to focus on writing and video games.

What will your content be?

The content I hope to write about is subject to change, but at this time, I plan to write reviews on recent tech I already own, such my BlackBerry KEYone and Google Home. I may also review apps I use, or even video games I play. Most importantly, I’ll do my best to help the team get news updates online as quick as humanly possible!

If there is anything you hope to see me write about, feel free to connect me via the comment section, or hit me up on Twitter or Google+.
