Amazon is continuing to invest in its Alexa-driven smart home offerings, and as such, the online retail giant is releasing three new devices toward the end of next month. Customers can now pre-order the All-new Echo (2nd Gen), the Echo Plus, and the All-new Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD.
Echo connects to Alexa—a cloud-based voice service—to play music, make calls, set alarms and timers, ask questions, check your calendar, weather, traffic, and sports scores, manage to-do and shopping lists, control smart home devices, and more—instantly
Just ask for a song, artist, or genre from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, and more. With multi-room music, you can play music on compatible Echo devices in different rooms. Echo can also play audiobooks, radio stations, news briefs, and more.
Call or message anyone hands-free with your Echo device. Also, instantly connect to other Echo devices in your home using just your voice.
Powerful speakers with Dolby processing that fill the room with immersive, 360° omnidirectional audio, and deliver crisp vocals and dynamic bass response
With seven microphones, beamforming technology, and noise cancellation, Echo hears you from any direction—even while music is playing
Just ask Alexa to control your compatible smart lights, thermostats, garage doors, sprinklers, and more
Alexa is always getting smarter and adding new features and skills. Just ask Alexa to control your TV, request an Uber, order a pizza, and more.
Echo Plus connects to Alexa—a cloud-based voice service—to play music, make calls, set timers and alarms, ask questions, check traffic and weather, and more—instantly. With the built-in hub you can directly set up and control your smart home devices.
Alexa can control your compatible smart lights, thermostats, locks, garage doors, sprinklers, and more. Set up devices from Philips Hue, GE, Kwikset, and others without the need for a separate hub. Just ask Alexa to discover your connected devices.
All-new Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD and HDR support in a compact and portable form factor.
Experience true-to-life picture quality and sound with access to vivid 4K Ultra HD up to 60 fps, HDR, and Dolby Atmos audio.
Enjoy tens of thousands of channels, apps, and Alexa skills with access to over 500,000 movies and TV episodes from Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu, HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ, and more. Subscription fees may apply.
Use your voice to easily find, launch, and control content with your Alexa Voice Remote or pair Fire TV with an Echo device for hands-free content control.
Do more with Alexa by playing music, ordering a pizza, and controlling compatible lights and other smart home devices—just ask.
Prime membership unlocks thousands of movies and TV episodes, including Thursday Night Football, Amazon Original Series, Amazon Channels, and ad-free listening to millions of songs with Prime Music.
No cable or satellite? No problem. Use an HD antenna to get free broadcast networks like NBC and PBS or watch live TV and sports with subscriptions to Hulu, PlayStation Vue, and Sling TV.

The three new devices are up for pre-order now, with the All-new Fire TV dropping on October 25th, and both Echo devices dropping on October 31st. Pricing and product links can be found below.
On a side note, I’m curious as to how many of our readers are Alexa users. I know our buddy Cliff is a diehard fan and prefers Alexa over Google Assistant, and the more I use Alexa, the more I see why.
Don’t get me wrong – I still love my Google Home, but these Amazon devices are tempting with all of the services they play well with. Will you be buying any or all of them? Hit us up in the comments.
