In this day and age, it’s all about productivity. I’m all over anything I can find to speed up my daily grind. If it comes with a promise of making my life easier, I’ll at very least give it a try.
We know you – our friends and family – are likely in that same boat, so we wanted to come up with a little something to help you out. Here are 5 productivity apps for Android you should try out ASAP.
And no worries – you can thank us later.
For the record, we’re going to refrain from mentioning any Google apps in this roundup. There’s a ton of those that we love, but that’s kinda taking the easy way out. We like to branch out and try new things, so that’s what we’re focusing on here in this post.
Work smarter, not harder, with these productivity apps
Trello is a great app for organizing and collaborating on projects, both at work and in your personal life. It lets you work on projects with anyone from anywhere in the world. It gives you a real-time look at tasks that need to be completed within your projects, and allows you to coordinate with the people who mean the most in your life.
aTimeLogger – Time Tracker
aTimeLogger is an app that helps you keep track of where you’re spending your time. You can stop and start it with a single touch, edit activities, and view history and statistics about the things you’ve done. Additionally, the app lets you set goals and helps you to reach them, like limiting the amount of time you waste in front of the TV each week. You can also create and group categories, and even create and export reports.
Mint: Budget, Bills, Finance
Mint is an excellent tool for budgeting. It lets you track balances, bills, spending, investments, credit and even net worth. It gives you a visual breakdown of exactly where your money is being spent. It’s also encrypted and 100% free to use.
Splash 2 Remote Desktop
Splashtop 2 Desktop Remote is an app that lets you control your laptop or desktop computer with your Android smartphone or tablet. This one is essential for me, as I’m always on the go and don’t have a presentable laptop at the moment. It’s awesome to be able to access my files when I’m away from home.
Tiny Scanner – PDF Scanner App
Tinyscanner helps you turn paper documents into digital PDF files. Again, this one is super handy for when I’m away from home or out of the office. It handles scanning pretty well, and it’s simple to use.
As always, we hope you enjoyed this roundup. We know how busy life can be, and it’s the least we can do to offer a few apps to help you out with that.
Readers, are there any other must-use productivity apps we’re missing here? Be sure to let us know about them in the comments.
